Top 9 Reasons Why Your New Business Video is Not Making You Money!

So you just had a new video created for your business but it’s not being seen and it’s not making you more money. Why is this and what can you do to fix it?

Before I get into the Why’s and How’s I’d like to say that I’m not here bashing the video production company that created your video. The company that created your video is one of eight video production companies I know of that do great video production but quite honestly they suck at video SEO. That is why I sent you a free video audit of your video. I know I can help you get more exposure and customers with your video because I know exactly what to fix.

Who am I and how can I help you? My name is Frank Kasper, owner of Top Spot Promotions, and I’m a video marketer who has ranked 100’s of videos on the 1st pages of Google, YouTube, Bing and AOL. I’ve ranked videos for doctors, plumbers, electricians, dentists, photographers and even the Orangetheory Fitness franchise.

The reasons that I can rank videos on the 1st pages of the Top 5 Search Engines is that I’ve spent $1,000’s of dollars over the last 3 years experimenting and tweaking all the latest and greatest ways to rank videos. I now have the software and step-by-step procedure on how to rank your video for multiple “buyer intent keyword phrases”. That’s right your video can be ranked over and over again for different keywords getting it more exposure and more customers.

O.K. so here are the 9 reasons that your video is not getting you more customers and making you more money.

 1.    Video Title: It has the wrong video title. The video title is so important because it tells Google what your video is all about. When the title is wrong it’s very hard for your video to rank for multiple keyword phrases.

2.     Video Description: The video description is either inaccurate or incomplete. The video description has to be as detailed as possible with accurate information about your company. It needs to have a brief description about your company, what you offer, what areas you service, where you’re located, and all of the links that are associated with your company; website, Social Media and Local Business Citations and links to other videos and Playlists.

3.     Video Tags: The video tags are wrong, inaccurate or incomplete. This is a critical feature of getting your video to rank for multiple keyword phrases. The video tags must be relevant to your business and your location. There’s also a way to place your tags so your video shows up on the sidebar in YouTube when someone is watching one of your competitors video.

4.     Geo-Tagged: Your video has not been Geo-Tagged. This is an Advanced Settings Feature inside of YouTube that actually connects your video to your exact business location. This is a MUST HAVE because if someone is searching on their phone for a business like yours your video will show up first more often.

For example let’s say you own a florist and someone is visiting your town and they want to buy some flowers. So they get on their phone and search “florist your city name”. Now don’t forget Google knows exactly where that person is when they’re searching on their phone. So if your video is Geo-Tagged Google knows exactly where your business is located so it’s going to try to match their search with the closest florist. Makes sense right?

Google is just a big search engine that wants to give its customers what they’re looking for so they can make more money off of ad placements. And since more than 53% of all searches are done on mobile devices your video MUST BE geo-tagged to get you more customers!

5.     Optimized YouTube Channel: The video channel that your video is uploaded to must be fully optimized, phone verified and tagged properly. Now I don’t know if your video productions YouTube channel is fully optimized but I do know that mine are.

6.     Playlists: Your video has not been added to a Playlist. I know this because there aren't any Playlist links in the video description. Your videos should be uploaded to one or more YouTube Playlists. Playlists are like folders on your PC but they’re for videos on YouTube. Playlists help rank your videos and can also rank on the 1st page of YouTube as well getting your videos more exposure.

7.     YouTube Link Wheels: Your video has not been added to a YouTube Link Wheel. I know this because there are not any links in your video description. A YouTube Link Wheel is a technique that links your videos together inside of YouTube which helps them rank on the 1st pages of Google and YouTube. You need at least 3 videos to create a Link Wheel but I always suggest a minimum of 5 videos. With 5 videos properly linked inside of a Link Wheel your videos will rank for multiple keyword phrases. I’ve seen one video rank on the 1st page of YouTube for over 6 different buyer intent keyword phrases!

8.     IFTTT NETWORK: This is getting a little technical so I’ll just give you the basics of what an IFTTT Network is and does. An IFTTT Network automatically uploads your video into different sites like Wordpress, Bitly, Blog, etc… This is a very powerful automated process that gets videos ranked! About 15 minutes after I upload a video into my YouTube channel my IFTTT network automatically starts to upload that video into a Wordpress site, then into a blog, then into another site and so on until it uploads that video into 15 different Web 2.0 properties. It does this over a period of time so it looks natural and gives Google the impression that it’s being done manually. Plain and simple these IFTTT Networks are not cheap but they work every time. And sometimes my Wordpress blog will rank on the 1st page of Google too giving my customer another page 1 ranking of their video!

9.     Social Media Signals: Google loves it when a YouTube video gets uploaded into Social Media sites and then gets Viewed, Shared, Liked and Comments. This is where the business owner has to step up and do their part in marketing their new business videos. This is really easy and free to do but a lot of business owners simply drop the ball when it comes to this.

So here’s what I recommend. If you don’t have a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest account find some people who do and ask them to upload your YouTube video link and get it Viewed, Shared and Liked with Comments. I bet your friends, family members or employees have one or more of these Social Media accounts and would be happy to do this. But you’ve got to ask them to do it.

Here’s a method for getting views on your YouTube videos I gave to a dentist who is DOMINATING the 1st pages of YouTube for his practice after he hired me to rank videos for his practice. When a patient comes into his office his receptionist asks them if they have their cell phone with them. Almost 99% of them do so she tells them that they just had a new video uploaded to YouTube and she wants them to view the video. She tells them to open up  YouTube and look up Invisalign Teen Braces Glen Burnie MD and just let the video play till the end. If they have a Gmail account they can log in to their email and then Like and Comment on the video too.

( If you go to YouTube and search for Invisalign Teen Braces Glen Burnie MD you'll see all the videos this dentist has ranked on the 1st page for multiple buyer intent keyword phrases. )

They even got one patient to purchase those Invisalign braces after just watching the video! That’s over $3,000 profit and all because she just asked a patient to watch a video. Think about how you could apply this same idea to your business and you might be surprised at the money you can make!

I hope you found this information useful. As you can see there's a lot more to video marketing than just creating and uploading a video to YouTube. The good news is that your video can be ranked on the 1st pages of Google and YouTube for multiple keywords driving organic traffic to your store and or sites!
